Jordan Hickson

Managing Director

More than 20-years industry experience delivering a mixture of prime residential, affordable housing, commercial, healthcare, and period refurbishment & conversion schemes in London and the Home Counties.

Following a traditional apprenticeship in carpentry and bench joinery, Jordan progressed from Working Foreman roles in his early 20’s, to a Senior Management position with a regional developer by his early 30’s.  Previously responsible for the delivery of several large multi-million pound construction sites concurrently, Jordan’s drive and ambition to succeed and deliver real quality, prompted him to found Hickson Contracting Ltd.

Today, Jordan assists with operational tasks when required and oversees new business tendering and contract negotiation, in addition to ensuring the company’s managed growth strategies are performing as planned.

Outside of work, Jordan has a keen interest in music and music production.  In addition, he enjoys watching and supporting his local football team, where both his children play for u12’s and u9’s respectively.  He is also passionate about classic motoring, winter sports and playing golf badly.

Cllr Kelly Hickson – BA (Hons)

Director

A graduate of St Mary’s University, Twickenham, Kelly started her career in the education sector in 2003 and quickly progressed to leadership roles within KS 1&2 departments.  Her introduction to construction came in the form of private residential developments with Jordan, starting in in 2014.  Kelly now utilises her experience and organisational skills to manage the company’s finance, accounting, HR and customer care systems.

Outside of her role at Hickson Contracting, Kelly also serves as a Councillor in the Parish of Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire.  She is an active member of the village community and enjoys fitness, music and travel in her spare time.

Eugene Mc Farlane

Senior Project Manager

16-years’ experience as Director and Project Manager of a Cape Town based luxury housing developer, Eugene Joined Hickson Contracting in January 2023 and has quickly integrated himself into the team.  Eugene holds degree level qualifications in both project and construction management, as well as numerous other technical qualifications.  He is responsible for the successful delivery of all live construction projects, and also plays an important role in pre-construction activities and project planning.  

Eugene has a passion for all sports, including motor racing and is also avid golfer with a single figure handicap. 

Richard Hickson

Business Development Manager

Richard’s career in predominantly sales roles within the construction industry has spanned over 30-years.  He has experience selling within the solar shading, glazing and residential refurbishment & alteration markets.  He was also HETAS qualified Sales & Surveying Manager for a regional distributer for several years.  In addition, Richard spent nearly 20-years as a Senior Account Director with a niche engineering & technical recruitment agency, managing complex recruitment campaigns for Blue Chip companies throughout Europe.  This diverse experience within the construction industry perfectly places him to explore new leads and drive new sales for Hickson Contracting.

Richard is happiest when closing a deal, and in his words can ‘charm the birds out of the trees’, but he also enjoys listening to smooth jazz, complemented by the occasional glass of red wine at the end of the day.
